Family: Mother, father and little sister. All of my grandparents are still alive and I have a lot of relatives, especially on my father's side. Two of my cousins live in Oxford, UK, and another in Saragoza, Spain.
My dream job would be taking care of children aged 0-3.
I'm currently in university, studying to get the degree necessary to do this job. It's one of my main sources of anxiety so I don't like talking about it. Same about working in general and money, so please don't ask me about it.
I suffer from anxiety and apathy (a lot less now that I'm in therapy). My therapist helped me get my panic attacks and dissociative episodes under control and I've not had one since autumn 2023 (the one before that was in autumn 2022).
My back pain is my constant companion and I often get dizzy because of my low blood pressure. This makes me also in grave danger of heatstroke during summer.
I speak Italian and English.
I studied Scottish Gaelic on and off since 2016.
I write! I published something years ago, in Italian and on a different site. I published something in English recently and some of my WIPs are now complete. If or when those are published, I will do a dedicated post here!
What I like to read/write/watch: detailed descriptions, domestic, fluff, found family, missions, slice of life, team building, things that teach me something, worldbuilding.
What I don't like to read/write/watch: cheating in relationships, heavy angst, major character death, needles (trigger!), rape/non-con, smut with pain/humiliation, things that cause negative emotions.
Fandoms: Furry, Good Omens, Harry Potter, MCU, Sherlock (BBC), Yuri!!! on Ice.
Favourite genres: dystopian, fantasy, historical, paranormal (creatures from folklore, legends & myths)
Aesthetics: Autumn, Bohemian, Earthcore, Light Writer Academia, Wolfcore.
I'm Pagan: I believe in Mother Nature and I worship her mainly trough treating the planet well and going to pagan festivals (there is one in May, dedicated to the Beltane sabba, that I try to go to every year). Sometimes I do a little ritual, usually on Samhain.
Pets: Shiva (black, long-haired female cat; lives with me & my mom, she lived with my little sister until winter 2022)
-- Living with my dad in the countryside: Clo (gray male cat), Everest (freshwater turtle, male), Evey (female corgi mix), Roman (black male cat).
-- Living with my little sister: Penny (Miniature Lop/Holland Lop bunny, female)
I love everything wolf-related. If I had a job and could donate to charity, I'll probably choose wolf-focused charities, other than the ones who protect the environment.
Food: I love berries, chocolate cookies (can't eat these anymore with my new diet! :'( ), extra-dark chocolate, hot tea/herbal tea, pasta with walnut sauce and salmon & avocado sushi. I don't like meat very much and I don't drink alcoholic drinks, coffee or fizzy beverages.
Favourite scents: beeswax candles, berry, citrus, lavender.
Things I collect: bars of soap, interesting rocks, old/foreign coins & bills, stickers.
Videogames: Hay Day, Harry Potter RP, The Sims 4.
If I have to manage something or the game requires very little input and more closely resembles a movie, I'll probably like it!
I also love watching other people play, way more than I like playing the games myself.
I really like board games: some of my favourites are Cards Against Humanity, Dixit, Twister and Uno.
Favourite music: celtic, classical, epic rock, pagan folk/rock
Sports/activities I did/do: hiking, ice skating, karate, pilates and other exercises for my back pain, swimming, theatre, yoga, zumba.
I also volunteered at a dog shelter and I was an activist for Friday For Future. Now I go to the meetings of a youth group for LGBT+ people in my city, and I try to help them how I can (but I don't want to become part of the group that manages it, because it would probably be very stressful for me)
Other things that I like to do:
- donating/selling things that I don't use
- exploring thrift stores
- going to fairs and markets
- going to the theatre or to the cinema
- grocery shopping/visiting showrooms like IKEA
- knitting
- listening to rain & thunder
- lucid dreaming
- meditating
- saving money as much as I can
- using coloring books
- using stress balls/putty
- visiting museums and art galleries
- walking in the countryside
- watching documentaries and cultural TV programs
Things I want to do in the future:
- go vegan (for environmental reasons)
- learn to play chess, backgammon and other strategy board games
- learn to wildcraft
- study LIS (Italian Sign Language), Braille, Spanish, Esperanto and other cultures' Sign Language
- take an Aikido course
- take an archery course
- take a First Aid course
- visit Scotland (maybe live there?)
